Awesome game, well worth the purchase. If you are on the fence, go online and give it a try for free.

Very solid tactical gameplay. Can you please remove the weird scan lines in the tutorial?
I really enjoy Yomi, so playing it on the go is quite nice! Its awesome how people using the app version and others using Steam version can interact! More people should give this game a chance! If ye enjoyed the mindgames of Street Fighter or other fighting games in the past, and dont mind card games, this is something ye should really check out!!
great game but devs no longer support this and online lobby is ghost town. amazing game, but prob best played local
It was good while it lasted.
I would like to enjoy learning this game but all the time card images show up wrong. Even when the values seem to be right that really disturbed my experience. Fix that and get a better rating by me! Update: Still true for the newest version. I contacted the developers without any results so far.
Was expecting more of a polished game for $9.99. The controls are glitchy, and the versus option is not working. Took several attempts to create an account. Please fix bugs.
A great strategy title that provides a great amount of depth and replay value. Links in with the online game to let you store replays and compete against a wide range of players. Excellent value
Seemingly simple mechanic but hard to master. Nov. 2014 update is wicked!! Thank-you
The card art appears to be randomly applied to each card. Great game, but the latest update broke it.
Ive been following David and his games for some time now, and since I got my first iPad (an iPad2) and ditched my MacBook Pro for most stuff I do I missed not being able to play the online version of the game; Ive been silently wishing for an iPad app for years, and now that its here Ive been given my wish and loving it! Now I just need to wait for a Puzzle Strike app as well..!
Super, mechanically-sound dueling game. Interface is quite good. Its basically the same as the browser implementation on Fantasy Strikes website. I think it feels a little better on iPad though. Now I just cant wait to get Puzzle Strike on iPad!
In a word...NICE! David Sirlin knows how to make a game. For those of you who play Yomi, you will love this. For those of you who dont heres a great place to start. Its user interface is great and makes sense. It has an amazing tutorial (I am a seasoned Yomi tabletop player but wanted to see how they approached it) that covers all the rules and some basic strategy, but leaves you to your own devices to use that knowledge to "pass" the tutorials. In the single player game, youre not stuck with a predicable, dumb opponent. You can choose easy or hard, and both have a decent challenge. You can play online as well and its cross-platform, so you can play with people on their home computers. Survival mode is done well, too. If I were to ask for one thing, it would be to have a way to just look at the decks and see what each character has to offer. For the price, you cant beat this. For a total of $20 you get all 20 characters and unlimited online play. To put that in perspective you should note that the complete tabletop version is $100, and thats just for the 10 base characters. So to sum it all up, this is an amazing app. It plays well and is fun for seasoned players and is a great place for new players to get started. The easiest 5-star rating Ive ever given. Heres to Puzzle Strike making the jump to iOS next!
You might think the price is kind of high, but this is a highly polished port of an extremely well-designed card game. Imagine Street Fighter successfully turned into a card game, and thats what you have here. Lots of depth and endless challenge awaits. Check out the website demo which lets you take the game on a test run first if you must... If you like it this is more than worth the price.
I am the fgcs own CORN AlucarD and I this app is amazing.
The tutorial is a convoluted mess.
Really nice UI and fun to play.
As someone who never played the card game, but has played tons of TCGs, the design of this game comes off as pretty much incomprehensible. Yeah, I could muddle my way through it but what I thought was going to be a series of fun counter attacks turned out to be a frustrating Rock Paper Scissors guessing game combined with special rules you have to learn for nearly every action, plus poker rules, plus jokers, plus aces are special case, plus each card has unique abilities, plus even vs odd number cards, plus unique character abilities, plus 6 stages for every round, plus... Anyway, the point is it feels like playing a game of calvinball in card game form.
If you are a fan of fighting games and card game, you will definitely enjoy this one. I had the original card game and really enjoyed it! This port to iPad translates really well. The art looks great and the game plays really well online. $9.99 is a fair price point for this one.
Really unique game and I love how there is no need for in-app purchases unless u want more characters, complete decks otherwise.
